Who is Tiffany Setters
RVT, VTS (ECC)?

I began my career in veterinary medicine in 2007 as an assistant at a general practice hospital. The daily interactions with animals in need and the challenge of medicine motivated me to pursue this career. As a lifelong learner, I focused on the education and training necessary to become a registered veterinary technician and later to earn a veterinary technician specialty in emergency and critical care medicine. My credentials have allowed me to hold many roles in various hospital settings: lead technician, technician supervisor, and technician training coordinator.

My passion for learning grew into a desire to teach. I am just as excited to help a new technician master phlebotomy as I am guiding an advanced technician in thoracocentesis. I find technician education to be one of the most impactful aspects of gold-standard patient care. My love of training ultimately led to the creation of Vet Nurse Development and Training. My experience in emergency/critical care, general practice, behavior, diagnostic imaging and even exotic medicine allows me to educate in various ways to improve a hospital’s patient care, client care, and technician efficiency. I value the pursuit of professional education and credentials, as I am a perpetual student.

When I am not working, I hike our local trails, play with my dalmatian, and raise my amazing young daughter.

Testimonials

So far, I have only been able to attend one of Tiffany’s lectures (Basic Anesthesia) and I really enjoyed the way she explained all the information in a way that was easy to digest. She is also very personable and easy to listen to – something I find very valuable because it keeps you engaged throughout the whole lecture. I am looking forward to attending upcoming lectures and learning more from her in the future!

Tiffany is an engaging, patient teacher and as a VTS ECC has an amazing skill set.  She has many years of experience developing detailed training protocols for a multi-department emergency & specialty hospital as well as working side by side teaching all levels of nursing staff. Teaching is Tiffany’s passion and she will work with you to train a well running veterinary team. I would highly recommend Tiffany as an excellent resource for investing in your staff.

-Monika Kaelble, DVM, DACVECC

I have attended several of Tiffany’s training lectures and they are outstanding; thoroughly comprehensive, yet efficient. Her patience, good nature, and humor draws even the most hesitant student into the training. Not only is Tiffany an exemplary technician and excellent instructor, she is also a passionate, lifelong student who is constantly learning to not only expand her knowledge, but to improve her teaching. I strongly recommend Tiffany as an extremely valuable resource for your staff training needs.
